What you will see, explore, touch, and taste: The traditional age-old art of glass-making up close in dozens of small studios; a romantic landscape of sandstone columns and the deep, rugged canyons of the "Kokorinsko" region, undulating slopes and extinct volcanoes of the Luzicke Mts.; charming heart of Bohemia near the town of Melnik, where the Vltava (Moldau) and Labe (Elbe) rivers meet; the fine arts, crafts and heritage of our ancestors hidden behind the thick walls of mediaeval castles and elegant chateaux; excellent Czech Pilsner beer and traditional cuisine; Prague and its unique spirit, a cornucopia of architectural styles and different cultures, Franz Kafka??s birthplace.

Day 1- Arrival in Novy Bor, centre of glass-making, just 1 hour driving from Prague. If you come in the morning, you have time enough to se all the glass workshops, galleries and studios. Don t forget to see the Museum of Glass. Overnight here.

Day 2 - Trip to the Jedlova Mt. ("Fir Tree" Mt, 770 m) with beautiful views towards former volcanoes of the Ceske Stredohori and downwards to see large Baroque Calvary in Jiretin. Overnight here.

Day 3 - Morning transfer by train to Ceska Lipa and along the huge Waldstein alley of lime trees and the Jiljov fortress to Raj (Paradise) u Litic. Overnight here.

Day 4 - Today the trip leads through gorges, canyons, towers and along different picturesque rock formations like "Goose" or "Stork" to Duba. Overnight here.

Day 5 - Continuation via Kocici hrbet ("Cat Ridge") to the popular Houska ("Bread") castle and then towards famous "Kokorinský dul" with its sandstone labyrinths and folk architecture. Overnight here.

Day 6 - Trip along interesting "rock housing" and "hermitages" to Melnik, former royal town. See how the most famous Czech rivers - Labe and Vltava (Elbe and Moldau) meet here from the chateau terrace!. Melnik wine cellars offer you traditional local wines. Overnight here and morning departure for Prague and/or or evening transfer to Prague.
